We Can't See Your Photos

PairCarry has no accounts and no servers of its own. The developer has no access to your photos, videos, device name or transfer history.

Photos and Videos

Only when you choose to send are the selected items sent, end-to-end encrypted, directly from your device to the device you chose. Received items are saved only to that device’s library and pass through nowhere else.

Ads (Free Version)

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob at the bottom of the home screen, and you can choose to watch an ad video to try the themes. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google collects device identifiers, approximate location (estimated from your IP address), ad interactions and performance diagnostics. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is used for personalized ads only if you allow tracking. Where consent is required, such as in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the app asks for it first, and you can change it later in Settings > Ad Privacy Options. Ads can't access your photos, videos or transfers. How Google uses this data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

PairCarry Pro

With PairCarry Pro, the app no longer starts the ad software or requests ads. Payment is handled by Apple; we never receive your payment details or Apple Account. Your purchase is verified by the App Store on your device.

Device Name and Avatar

So nearby devices can find you, PairCarry broadcasts your device name and, with PairCarry Pro, your avatar (emoji and color) on the local network while it’s open. This only goes to nearby devices, and you can change it in the app at any time.

Permissions

Local Network: to find nearby devices and connect directly. Photos: to choose items to send and to save received items to your library. Notifications: to tell you when a transfer finishes or someone wants to send to you. Tracking (asked only in the free version): if you allow it, ads better match your interests; every feature works either way.

Data Stored on This Device

Your device name, the list of trusted devices (including their public keys), the last 100 transfer records (without any photo content) and diagnostic reports are stored only on this device. You can delete them in the app, and they are removed when you delete the app.

Diagnostics

Crash, hang and performance data come from the system and stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded automatically; reports leave the device only if you share them.
